ABOUT ME

I am a chemistry Graduate working within pharmaceutical manufacturing where I manage the quality system to protect the patients of the products. I have a huge passion for science and discovery.

I’m my spare time I love to spend time enjoying the great outdoors. I love rock climbing, cycling, camping, hiking, snowboarding and socialising. I also love food, Music and movies so you would usally find me at a festival somewhere :-)

I took 2 years out to travel and in order to control my urge for adventure and get everything out of my system before settling down to start my career with Pharmaceuticals. That did not happen as I relaise how much the world has to offer and if anything my urge for adventure has increased. I therefore have to feed my travel bug and I plan little mini to every so often. I planning to travel again for 12 months sometime in the near future again and visit the other half of the world. Sorry Mum and Dad :-p

PHILOSOPHY

As Shawshank famously quote:

'It all come down to a simple choice. You can either get busy living, or get busy dying.'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I have only surfed but I have promised myself and all the other hosts I have stayed with. As soon as I get my own place and are no long house sharing I will definitely get a sofa bed or set up mattress in a spare room and have plenty of surfers staying over. I love meeting new and interesting people from all different cultures

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couched surf when I number of times when crossing the USA & Australia. To many to write about so will just mention my favourite. I stayed with was a satellite engineer in L.A who during the day when he worked lent me his long board to get around on, and a wet suit and his surf board so I could catch the waves and enjoy the Californian sun. In the evening when he was back from work we would hang out in his garden chilling with a BBQ every night and come cold beers. Alex you are a ledged. So many good memories t

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One that stick to mind is when I drove around Indonesia on a scooter. Visiting temples, exploring villages, playing football with the local kids and monkeys. Island hopped over to Lombock where I climbed an active volcano at midnight in order to reach the summit at sunrise. Made it just in time to see the sun come up with a full 360 panoramic view of the island while the volcano was gentle erupting with lava. Never seen anything like it in my life.
