ABOUT ME

I'm Adam, 23, from England. I studied Architecture and Interior Design at uni before working for a bit then came out to Australia with my buddy to experience the lifestyle I fell in love with after I holidayed here back in 2007.

I get on well with most people and love chatting about the world and life in general. I love being outdoors in the warm sun so it is a blessing when that actually happens here in England.

I am a quite a career driven person and I love what I do but want to get out there and go travelling as much as possible before continuing with my career. Then when I've saved up more money I will no doubt go again. And again.

PHILOSOPHY

It confuses me that when we live in a world where being able to organize and book a trip online has never been simpler or easier that there are still young people who are mindset on getting the job, getting the money, the car, the house, the perfect marriage, the kids and the married life, then 'settling down'.
These were the rites of passage and goals that our parents wanted to achieve. I'm not saying its wrong but its quite old fashioned now and things have changed dramatically since then.

You only have to look up at the stars to realize how insignificant things like jobs, money and assets are in the grand scheme of things. And look around you to see how the best things in life really are free.

All I know is I love nature, travel and seeing new places, faces and cultures. And I want to enrich my own life and values by getting plenty of exposure :]

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are on the lookout for friendly residents of Sydney (backapckers, travellers ad locals alike) who can offer us a place (driveway or street) to park our campervan - or even better, a floor or couch we could sleep on - while we find a bit of Christmas casual work to keep us going. We would pay you a fair amount to use your toilet and shower facilities if thats ok and I promise we are no trouble at all. We expect to stay in Sydney until just after New Years. We would love to chat and get to know you and would be more than game for a few drinks and a dance in the city every now and then :]

I can teach you basic architecture and interior design principles and explain why and how certain environments make you feel positive or negative without you even realising. I can teach you the odd magic trick, a bit of breakdancing, flairing and either make you laugh or look at me weirdly by spouting some typical English humour or cheesy jokes.
