HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm still fairly new to the CS community. I hosted in Portland a couple years back and it was a great time, and hung out with some CS'ers on a journey through Central America, though I didn't do any surfing myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In Portland a couple years ago, I was riding through town when I came across 6 bike tourists, stopped to look at a map. Hours later, all six of them were sleeping on our basement floor, and 3 months later, I flew down to Mexico to join their trip.

(I guess this counts as a retroactive/impromptu couchsurf... right?)
