ABOUT ME

Lived in the Hudson Valley of New York state my whole life, and can't beat it. My family runs a small farm on an old Livingston estate, so even though we live in a small cottage we get a mansion, formal gardens, waterfalls, woods, and mountain views to enjoy- back-door culture. Went to school for commercial aviation in North Dakota, which was the complete opposite- no water, no hills/mountains, and people with no personality or interests. The silver lining was a new-found gratitude for NY.

Just finished college this year, and am juggling a decision between law school, piloting, cider-making, train conducting, whatever.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some hosting when I was at university in North Dakota; hopefully a bit of surfing soon.

Hosting was a blast- it was great to meet Europeans interested in America. I didn't really believe there was such a thing. Also fun to show them that America isn't just McDonald's and crappy music- that's the prevalent impression I find whenever I'm across the pond.

Interests

Limitless. I like to bench graffiti and trains a lot. Off the beaten path. I usually have a camera glued to my eye.

Also like to make, and drink, beer and cider in large quantities.

Anything and everything. Highlights are the Sneaker Pimps, and good instrumental stuff- Little People, Quantic, Sixtoo. Austin Powers never gets old, Downfall the best film ever made. Ayn Rand changed my world view.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There's a lot, I can drone on about them all later.

Best domestic trip was camping with a friend at 10,500' MSL in Wyoming this past summer.

Munich/Bavaria, though, has been and always will be my favorite destination on earth.
