About Me

My name is Adam.

I'm a writer and enthusiastic about most things human. I enjoy my life, as it is ever evolving and I'm happy to share that with anyone else who is curious.

I live by the idea that as long as I go within, no one goes without.

I am vegetarian and don't drink alcohol.

For the next while I will be away on my own travels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I know what it's like to need a place to sleep in a new place and I'm back in a position to be able to offer that to others. I've hosted, on and off, over the last 5 years in different places I've lived. I'm now moving to Austria to live for a while.

Interests

I love listening to other peoples' stories. On occasion I get asked to source props or build sets for a circus in the city. I'm known for doing odd jobs at the local independent theatre as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music for me is a big field so more determined by the mood I'm in or what I've got to get done. Pretty open to most styles and genres. Not so big into movies as I find them disorientating.

Books. I love to read and welcome recommendations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Kota Bharu, Malaysia, during Ramadan in 2016. It coincided with monsoon season every day there would be the most awe inspiring thunder storms. I spent my time exploring the city and the life lived in it with a man who has become an accomplice in my magazine project. Kota Bharu also translates to Newcastle in English. This is the city I ended up moving to, after I left Malaysia. Both are in the North East of the country.

Teach, Learn, Share

Advocate of cooperation and curiosity in all areas. I love learning new recipes and sharing mine. I'm always intrigued by other peoples' experiences and the tricks they have picked up.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Meals, walks, space; time; music; conversations; the city of Newcastle; my house; my friends and whatever else becomes apparent as and when. What I can share is not exhaustible. I'm busy most of the time with odd jobs so you may find yourself having a day-in-the-life kind of trip to the city, seeing parts most don't see. But, if you prefer to chill out and do your own thing I've got a spare set of house keys for you.
