ABOUT ME
I'm a kind-hearted and genuine person who truly wants to make the world a better place. I'm definitely an idealist, although I try my best to stay grounded in reality and embark on pragmatic projects. I love conversations and meeting new people, particularly of the new ideas and experiences I encounter by meeting new people.
Interests
My life's work is strongly geared towards social justice and environmental sustainability, particularly in the realm of climate change. Right now, I am an organizer for the Missouri Student Climate Coalition, a network of student activists in Missouri. I spend most of my time organizing for climate justice in one form or another, and my ultimate goal is to substantially contribute to passing bold climate legislation in the US and achieving a just and effective international agreement on climate change. I view climate change as the defining challenge of our generation, and I am honored to be a part of a growing movement for climate justice.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My junior year of college I spent three weeks in Mumbai working with other students and leaders of a slum community on a dialogue project about solid waste. I was amazed by the conditions of the slum, but also by the incredible amount of support the community members gave each other. I have still not seen a community that had as strong of social ties as that slum community in Mumbai, and the experience still gives me a lot of hope in bottom-up community development.
More recently, I traveled to the Canadian Rockies with my girlfriend. I was astounded by the grandeur of the mountains, the towering trees, and the blue glacier-fed lakes. Hiking through this beautiful landscape reminded me of how small I am in the grander scheme of things, and how even with rampant environmental degradation and widespread injustice many amazing places still remain. Traveling to the Canadian Rockies reinforced my commitment to work towards climate justice and a truly sustainable society.
