ABOUT ME

I worked with a professional trail crew for several years and have recently decided to move to Chicago where I can be a train ride away from my family while not relying on a car for transportation. I also enjoy riding my bike as an alternative.
On my free time I write fiction, poetry, and often document my experiences for personal reference. I also enjoy playing guitar and listening to a wide variety of music such as jazz, blues, punk, metal, and reggae.

I currently live in the Little Village neighborhood approximately five miles from downtown and 6 miles south of Logan Square/ Wicker Park but it's a 15 minute walk from my apartment to the CTA Pink Line. There is some gang activity on my street corner so be aware my place will NOT be the most glamorous couchsurfing experience.
I have a couch and floor space for guests. I more than likely will not feed you so please provide your own food as well as blankets, toiletries, etc. I mean only to provide a shower and a good nights sleep for the more rugged travelers out there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done a bit of unofficial couchsurfing in Tucson, AZ and upstate New York/ Vermont. Officially, I rode my bicycle from Chicago to New Orleans using this and another site along the way.

I was the vocalist in a band in high school so after we stopped playing music I found it difficult to stop writing lyrics so they quickly evolved into poems. I appreciate all knowledge but I am mostly interested in knowledge supported by science and I like tying science into art.
