ABOUT ME

I've taught hundreds of students over my 16 years as a law professor at business schools - in anonymous surveys, my students often say things like: "funny, caring, great/best teacher I've have had" and other lies and mistakes. :) My friends and family would add that I'm loyal and generous with my time... but I'm trying couch surfing, so how generous could I really be?

PHILOSOPHY

Worry and regret... just kidding.
I try to savor both the "small" and "big" moments... when travelling, I'm one of those people who tries to "fit in as much as possible" and learn things and meet people - I do tend to worry more than I would ideally like, but things tend to always work out very well.

None! Brand-new... wait, except I HAVE crashed everywhere from Kenya to Kolkata to New Delhi to Moscow... so I HAVE couch-surfed (and hosted people)... just not through this site!

Interests

My job requires reading and writing and preparing for classes. Outside of this, I travel and run marathons (43km or 26.2m), fiddle with the guitar and keyboard, have learned to salsa and kitesurf, I ski and windsurf and snowboard, and generally try to keep up with everything. I just bought my first apartment in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydived in Queenstown, NZ. Found my keys. Been in love. Dove into the Amazon River and swam with whatever was in there. Hung out with the Kalash in Northern Pakistan near the Afghan border. Got tenure. Woke up this morning and breathed.

We're supposed to share what we can teach? Huh. History, law, business, sustainability. What I'd like to learn? The secret of stable happiness and accepting things without stressing!
