About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm making a documentary about Hollywoods - ten of them! I'll be driving across the country to ten towns called Hollywood. Live in one or near one? Let's talk!
ABOUT ME
As mentioned above, my current goal is to complete a radio documentary about different places in the US called Hollywood. More info at www.adamgoeshollywood.com!
I've worked in advertising, casting and video production. I've got good stories from all of them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My current project is all about gathering people's stories and perspectives, specifically on a weirdly American cultural touchstone called Hollywood. I'm hoping that the CS Project will provide a way for me to meet people across the country so I can stay with and interview them, and get a better sense of what it's like to live in a place with such huge expectations attached to it.

Interests
I love to write! I also do standup on occasion, and that's rewarding but exhausting. I love movies, too.
I'd be lying if I didn't admit to being a bit of a nerd. Have a question? Ask!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies!
Giant, Groundhog Day, Clue, Clueless, Boogie Nights, Gigantic: A Tale of Two Johns, Ghost World, Lost in Translation, Annie Hall, Magnolia, The Royal Tenenbaums (fun fact: I always cry when Ben Stiller says, 'I've had a rough year, Dad.'), Groundhog Day, Flight of the Navigator, Empire Records, Gattaca, Mission: Impossible, Titus, Stealth, Angels in America, The Apartment, There Will Be Blood, etc.
Books!
Slapstick, Planetary, Pussey!, Angry Candy, Slavs!, I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, anything by Sarah Vowell or Joe Orton, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Not Much Fun, Prick Up Your Ears, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I performed standup at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York. I don't think I've ever been that nervous in my life! The next week, I was recognized in the street by a girl who had seen the show. Probably the coolest thing that's ever happened to me.
Teach, Learn, Share
More to come... I'll have to give this one some thought.
