ABOUT ME
I can't stand writing about my self...I do not like attempting these. So I will say this...one of my dreams is to build a straw bale structure or structures as part of a permaculture experiment.
PHILOSOPHY
I am a vegetarian who occasionally eats fish. I made that choice not because I do not like meat but because I realize the greater implications of living on a meat based diet have on water consumption, degrading the environment and energy consumption. I realize that everyone is a hypocrite in some way shape or form except for maybe Jesus and Buddha. I do not preach my beliefs or persecute others for theirs. I have hope that the world can be a better place for people to live in, that people can surprise you in a positive way, that humans will have a place on earth as long as we live in the laws of nature and not by the laws of mankind.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I once stayed on my bosses couch for half a summer because my family had sold our house and moved away from where we used to live. I worked construction in the summers off of college and did not want to find a new job in a new location. So during the week I stayed at vacant rooms at hotel on the beach for free because my friend was the live in manager. The weekends were spent on my bosses couch. That is until his pregnent wife started having major hormonal imbalances and didn't want me to stay there. I don't blame her AT ALL. Its got to be a bitch lugging an extra 10-20 lbs around with you for 9 months, and that's probably not the hard part. So I slept in my car on the weekends for the rest of the summer and found other friends to stay with.
Interests
I love to surf, reading on the beach, different types of yoga, watching sunsets and sunrises, taking my dog Roxy running on trails, learning to rock climb, eating and cooking good food, learning to garden and grow hydroponically.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am still awaiting my great adventure...my great challenge...my great beautiful moment...so until then is now...
Teach, Learn, Share
I had my own construction company for about eight years and the economy took a dump...I have built several houses from the ground up. I have done add-a-levels, additions, decks, porches, kitchens, bathrooms. The last large project I worked on involved building to LEED for Homes standards of the USGBC (United States Green Building Council). Our hope was to achieve a gold certification, however we were forced to abanded this after the homeowners finances had dwindled, but the house was energy star certified. The shift in economy led to a change of main occupations from home builder to energy retrofit business of home energy audits.
