About Me

I have a passion for stories. Whether they're real or fictional, I love stories. I love to make up stories, I love to find true stories, and I love to tell those stories. I grew up on a farm in Oregon, where I spent a lot of time daydreaming, reading, or listening to my grandmother tell me stories. Some were from books, and some were family history, but I found it all fascinating. To this day, I still find all stories fascinating. Anytime somebody tries to tell me their life's story isn't interesting, I always disagree. Everyone's stories fascinate me. One of my favorite questions to ask new people is, "What's your story?" Everyone answers the question a different way, and if you ask it more than once, the same person will give you a different answer each time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last summer, I allowed myself to be hippie-napped by a couple of friends. After talking me into going with them, we hopped in a rideshare and went to a Rainbow gathering in Michigan. Once that ended, I realized that I hadn't been East of the Mississippi in a very, very long time. So I decided to keep going, and wound up on a three-month wander around the country that probably would have been longer if I didn't have to get home by a specific date. It was a life-changing experience. I got to reconnect with a lot of long-distance friends, meet a lot of new and wonderful people, explore places I'd never been or hadn't been in a long time, and I came to a lot of important realizations about myself, my past, and where I'm headed in the future.
