I am new to this website, and at this point I am looking for the reassurance that I am not the only one who gazes at the earth in awe asking..."why?"

Music. Recording Music. Tubes. Tape machines. Preamps. Old microphones, old instruments, strange instruments. Abandoned buildings or amusement parks.

Movies? I don't own a television, I find those things distracting from the moment. I do enjoy John Water's movies, as well as Stanley Kubrick, and Eraserhead. Anything out of the ordinary.

My favorite music is my own, although it is inspired by Cab Calloway, Leadbelly, Django Reinhardt, Blink Blake, and Edith Piaf, to name a few. I haven't found much new music that strikes my fancy, although Beck, the early White Stripes, and the Shortwave Set seem to have it going on.

I enjoy reading non-fiction - stories of people's lives, the way your grandfather would tell them when he was still alive.
