About Me

I was born in the holy city at the bank of Ganga, Haridwar, at a time when the charms of kite flying struggled hard against the adventures of Mario and Contra to woo the children. I got admission in an Engineering college, located in the beautiful valley of Almora. Later I got interested in film making. I love movies somewhat like children love magic. The three-act structure, character arcs, hero's journey, cyclical relevance and poetic justice. But most of all what I like about movies (and other forms of story-telling) is their capacity to transcend space and time, and sometimes culture and language barriers. For instance I like Amores Perros, Amelie, 3-Iron, Song of sparrows, Lives of Others more than many movies in Hindi or English language.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While trekking to Hampta Pass, we were staying in tents. At night it was so cold that it was life-threatening to go out. But I had to pee! So I dared out in that cold windy night and I could not believe the view. The moon so big and so bright! I felt as if it is a miracle there every night. I would never forget that view ever!
