I come from Belgium and I love to travel to see the natural world. I did geological studies, and I'm still keeping on with a PhD thesis in Southampton (starting Sept 2015).

I like some company when I'm travelling but I am not looking for lot of buddies. That is why I don't go to CS events anywhere they are.

Actually my travel buddies' behaviors influence mine, but I am firstly a quiet person who don't specially need to talk. I am resourceful and appreciate heading the expeditions.

I'm more interested by beautiful landscapes and nature than big cities. That's why I already travelled in Norway (Oslo and the vicinities, Trondheim, Bergen, Stavanger) and around Iceland. But it was 2014. Now in 2015, as I'm unemployed, I mostly visited closer places, especially UK: Stanford, Southampton, London. I stayed all May in Edinburgh (Scotland).

My hobbies became my work and I live for my passions. I am a Master Diver CMAS (certificate) and I studied geology (Earth Sciences) in Liège (Belgium). Now I am going to start my PhD about mineral resources on the bottom on the oceanic floor at the tectonic ridges. Why should I ask more ?

I want to visit most of the places to discover the treasures of our Earth.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started two years ago on couchsurfing. But only for advice and find an accommodation in Norway. But not I really start to use this useful website! I would like to share my homeplace, but still with my parents or in travelling! I promise: When I will live alone in a flat, I will invite every couchsurfer to my city! I'm grateful to this website :)

I love nature and all sports which allow me to discover it : skiing, hiking, walking and mainly scuba-diving.
Few years ago I started bird watching and I should say ... I am quite talented to recognize them now! I loved taking care of the birds in my garden, taking in picture in the nature, at the lakes and marshes close to my home city, in the city parks.

Three months in Norway... Cabin trips in the winter snow! So many! Without electricity, without running water, with a cosy and warm fire! To hike to the Preikestolen boulder/cliff close to Stavanger with an extra girl! Dogsledding with two amazing French girls, That was awesome! Discovering the natural beauty of Iceland, snow, Icelandic horses, walking on a glacier! Weekend trip along Scotland with a Czeck girl who liked the nature as much as I do!

Always ask me if the guest bed is available at home. Usually I can't offer a positive answer but ask me anyway. If you have the opportunity to stay with me, we don't share everything with you but the bathroom, the guest bedroom (use your own linen or sleeping bag) and kitchen. You have to cook yourself.
