About Me

Returning to Couchsurfing after a long pause. I'm easy going, rather calm, enthusiastic about any new thing I'm proposed to do, see or learn. I have an inquirring mind. But it makes me feel easily bored. I'm also kind of a nerd.
I volunteer a lot. I don't work much but when I do I teach yoga. Grew up in the countryside, I've lived in Paris for 5 years when I was a student at la Sorbonne, and I have now been living in Rouen for 12 years, always with housemates (3 to 6).
I'm quite political and do not get along well with narrow-minded, racist, homophobic people. Solidarity is my motto and I don't value competition in life. I make fun of people introducing themselves by saying how much they earn and people counting steps. I have big issues with consumer society, mass tourism, productivism, patriarchy, the idea that you must better yourself, and so much more!
But there are even more things I enjoy: activism, sedition, sharing thoughts, growing my vegetables, being in preserved nature, slowness, spending quality time with people, environmentalism, etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been a host and a guest, and I enjoyed both a lot!
Hosting couch surfers is a unique way to meet people, learn about them and show them a bit of our own way of living.
I surfed in Norway, in Greece and in France and I plan to travel as often as possible during the next years, and as I want to be as close as possible to the people and learn about the real heart of a country, I couln't think of a better way to do so!

Music, Movies, and Books

So many books I can't name all of them. I'm kind of a fan of 19th century french literature but I also enjoy ancient literature, english and american literature from the late 17th to the late 20th and french and british medieval literature.

And for movies, once again there are too many. But maybe I can name some of my favorite film makers : Malick, Leone, Coppola, Scorsese, Kubrick, Clouzot, Coen brothers, Inarritu, Wilder, Wenders, Campion...

European folk music, psych rock, northern american song writers, one particular post punk australian musician...
