ABOUT ME

Woow. I really have been away from Couchsurfing a looong time. Seems my profile has been actively checked anyway ´cause all the requests I´ve missed. Sorry about that. I will try now to start again with Couchsurfing and be visiting this page more often even life in Helsinki is pretty busy from time to time.
I´m a city girl with a lot of engagement towards the north and the country side too - nature has always brought me a lot of inspiration.
I love many things in my home-city though; the variety from the buzzing streets in the center, to the calmness and green forests and parks spread around the city. The sea and its breeze. The easiness of getting around in the city. The smell of fish at the market in Hakaniemi. The fair nights in the summer when you can just sit i a park for hours without noticing that the day has past. The freshness of the winter and excuses to have a glass of red somewhere central with friends.
Helsinki is a place for everybody. There is always something happening in the city, and that I love too. New things are coming up and we Helsinkiens create our dream place by the to be a creative and open minded hut in between the west and the east.
Travelling and visiting new places and learning from other cultures is a constant inspiration for me.
Now I haven´t done any major travelling for a while, but smaller vacays just to get out a little work really good too!
The problem with my travels always involves the same fact; too little time to really explore and getting in touch with the locals, their way of living and their culture etc..I guess this is one of the reasons I joined Counchsurfing too. This site has really gotten me in touch with some great people during my active years. I hope I will meet more of you!
Unfortunately I can´t host at the moment, but I am happy to help in the ways I can and maybe show you around my hometown.
When I´ve been travelling myself, I have gotten the warmest welcomes from other surfers - I want to do my part as well. So let´s try to stay in touch, eh?
