I am a technology start-up founder, taking a sabbatical from work to travel to south america starting Jan,25. I would start my south America tour from south africa, visiting capetown and then taking a flight to Sao paulo , to stay in brazil for one year doing a course in learning portuguese and Brazilian culture, while also exploring south america . My base would be florianopolis in Brazil and i would be exploring places with my local friends. I have covered entire southern and eastern africa , along with south east asia.
I love to meet people, attend technology events and love eating local foods.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always used booking.com ( level 3 member) and sometimes used airbnb, i have realized while traveling as a solo traveler that staying in hotel small or big, makes sense as one spend lot of time exploring city, eating outside, partying etc.
Couchsurfing would be my first experience outside recognised platforms, so i wanna give it a try and would like to start it with South Africa, as this would be my 6th visit to the beautiful country. Once i get my experience, i would love to explore couchsurf for my south america voyage.
