HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfed some good couches and host when I can!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Back online after along time away. Missed these experiences!
Two days in Argentina with the most warm-hearted family in Tucuman. Week-long tour of French-speaking Switzerland, a short bike trip through Catalunya, Spain, and off and on while biking the west coast.

Interests

Wandering around in the woods or on the beach with friends. Meditation. Long bike rides. Rock-climbing. Contra/blues/salsa dancing. Yoga. Cooking big meals with friends. Reading/writing. Want to do more foraging!

Music, Movies, and Books

I tend toward speculative fiction or scifi on books. Octavia Butler, Ray Bradbury, His Dark Materials, J.D. Salinger, anything to do with buddhist philosophy or the behavioral sciences. Currently reading Hadoo, Untamed, Teaching a Stone to Talk, Deciding to See. I usually have too many going at once.

Give me anything with a banjo, mandolin or accordion in it and I'll give you my ear.

Movies/TV: Movies: I'd probably watch Arrival on repeat forever. I just think it would be so cool to talk to another species (we're almost there with whales!). TV: Scavengers Reign, High Maintenance, Stranger Things, The Man in the High Castle, Black Mirror, The Pitt...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bike tour of the west coast! Perhaps my most fulfilling travel experience to date.
Hiking Haleakala crater on Maui was spectacular.
Canoe camping in Adirondacks and Baker Lake <3
Hard to choose just one!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: How to make homemade yogurt? Rudimentary bicycle maintenance?
Learn: Other languages. Really want to learn how to read/play music.
Share: The cooking!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Always happy to be an extra pair of hands for grunt labor if you need help with a project around the house or yard.
