I'm currently working in UK politics, having been a freelance animator and copyrighter (yeah I have a weird mix of skills), after having done the trip of a lifetime last year across North Africa, East Africa and the Middle East. I love everything from politics and intellectual conversations to kids cartoons and photography!

My sister has used it on her travels in the past and has said its brilliant. It's a way to meet people, learn the intricacies of the city you're in, and get a real feel for the place.

My experiences with couchsurfers thus far have only proved my sister right!

兴趣

I'm (slowly) getting into a long-standing hobby of mine: photography. Much of what I want to do on my travels is to document it all in a photo series too. I love anything that will allow me to immerse myself into different cultures and perspectives. That means museums, film, music, city walks, reading, the lot!

Music interests are very broad and varied. I love everything from Afrobeats and Dancehall to Folk and Alternative artists like Alt-J, Bon Iver and the like. Love some world music too: listen to Habib Koite & Bamada, Magic System, Fadel Shaker, Nancy Ajram, Melissa, Tamer Hosny, and of course Cheb Khaled.

Books: The Alchemist, I Am A Pilgrim, A Thousand Splendid Suns, My Name Is Red, and the geek in me loves Freakanomics.

Movies: I could literally go on forever. A snippet - City of God, The Godfather II, American Gangster, Before Sunrise, Les Untouchables, Le diner de cons, Casablanca, The Third Man, Lion King, Shawshank Redemption, Gladiator, The Raid... I'll stop!
