About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore the East Coast and try to get out of New York City before it sucks me in! I love this place!!

ABOUT ME

I travel as much as possible which simply means, I make enough money to leave and then leave.
Some people plan for tomorrow, I live for today!
I realized a little more than a year ago that I am not the vacationer who goes somewhere for a weekend or even a week. I feel you have to be somewhere atleast a week to really grasp what the community is all about. therefore I wont go on a vacation unless I can devote atleast one month to it. So far so good, but it does get expensive!

PHILOSOPHY

i live for the story!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

im new to the system, if you need a couch, I'm homeless right now, but after mexico I am definitely willing to help

Since Mexico, I've been to a couple CS bar-be-ques and one CS hike in the san juan islands.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i was homeless by choice last year and survived on couches for 5 months! it was a amazing.

Aside from that, I havent had much luck with this site. Perhaps my profile is too weak. Therefore I am focusing on updating it more often. Even though, where I live now, Selah WA, noone comes to visit. This is more for you.

Interests

people, life, experience, sticky situations, adrenaline pumping fear/i.e. living in East Harlem for two weeks-which by the way, I now love East Harlem!!

  • traveling
  • auto racing
  • hiking

Music, Movies, and Books

I've never been much of a reader. Unless the book is less than 200 pages. Into the wild, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Catcher in the Rye, Farenheit 451, Tristessa, Eric Clapton's autobiography, etc.-There are plenty of great books that meet my parameters!

As fas as music, I am an avid collector of vinyl records. I currently have about 1100 records and my collection grows daily. That being said, I love blues, jazz, rock, classic rock, bluegrass, kings of leon ofcourse, modest mouse(before they signed to Sony), blind melon, etc. If I can find it on a l.p. I like it

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've survived 27 years in the hard world and have so many stories that I love to tell. Life is good!!!

On this trip--east coast trip--I saw a 9 month pregnant lady beat the crap out of a 75 year old man in harlem because he tried sitting at their table uninvited. I caught an amazing sunrise after staying awake too long playing monopoly with some foreigners. I ate at a restaurant in staten island that I saw on Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations. I watched a Nascar Race in Richmond, Va. I've seen Obama twice. Once in D.C. and once in NYC at the U.N.!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a kalimba and a set of dominoes! That's all I've packed so far. I will gladly teach both of those to you for a couple nights stay!
