About Me

I'm a civil engineer by profession, but my true passion is discovering the world through people. I love deep conversations, sharing local experiences, and learning from different cultures. I'm currently living in Havana and I really enjoy showing travelers the best of my city. I’m curious, respectful, and open-minded.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I believe traveling is more than just seeing places — it's about connecting with people. Couchsurfing is a wonderful platform to share, learn, and build community. I'm open to both hosting and being hosted, depending on the situation.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a bit of everything, but Cuban music has a special place in my heart — from Buena Vista Social Club to salsa, trova, and Afro-Cuban rhythms. I also enjoy chill electronic, indie, and sometimes jazz. Music that tells a story or makes you move. I love movies that make me think or show possible futures — sci-fi is my favorite genre. Films like Her, Children of Men, Interstellar, or The Matrix really stay with me. I also enjoy emotional dramas and documentaries about people and cultures. I enjoy reading both fiction and non-fiction. Sci-fi classics like 1984, Brave New World, or anything by Isaac Asimov are always interesting to me. Lately, I’ve been diving into books about personal growth, history, and stories that reflect real human experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve explored almost every corner of Cuba — from the mountains of Baracoa to the tobacco valleys of Viñales, the hidden beaches of the south coast, and the vibrant streets of Havana. Traveling through my own country has been an eye-opening experience. It showed me how diverse, complex, and beautiful Cuba really is, far beyond what most people imagine. Each place taught me something new — not just about my country, but about myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about Cuban culture from an insider’s perspective — our history, music, food, and the real stories behind everyday life. I can also show you how to make a proper mojito or a classic Cuban dish.

I'm always looking to learn new languages, recipes from other cultures, or any skills that spark creativity. I’m especially interested in how people live in other parts of the world.

What I love most is sharing time, stories, and experiences. I believe that’s where the real magic of Couchsurfing happens.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a local from Havana and a traveler around Cuba, I can share insider tips about the best hidden spots, cultural traditions, and local cuisine. I love cooking Cuban dishes and can invite you to taste authentic flavors if we have time.

I enjoy meaningful conversations about history, culture, and life in Cuba. Whether it’s music, literature, or local stories, I’m happy to share what I know and listen to your experiences as well.

I’m respectful, friendly, and always open to learning new things from my hosts.
