Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

To show that you don't have to be another sheep in a global herd and you can make your own life.

ABOUT ME

Didn't have time to properly update this section yet (had a short break from Couchsurfing) so not everything is up to date. I am currently on an internship at Google and running my own business on a side. :)

If I was asked to use just one word to describe myself, I would say: self-learner. Since my early teens, I have started to really doubt in traditional educational system and concluded that the knowledge I gain at school doesn't satisfy me. So I still attended school, got top grades, passed my final exams at high school, but in the meantime I learnt English practically on my own, got my dream job at one of the top Polish media companies when I was 16 and recently learnt how to cook decent food and completed the first part of my physical transformation. These were my main four self-learn projects, but I try learning something new every day on my own. Internet is a great place if you only know how to use it. Seriously.

At the moment I am studying at one of the top British universities, but I wasn't really sure if I wanted to go there because of my self-learn nature. I thought I would be able to learn the whole curriculum on my own in much shorter time. I don't regret decision to go uni though as I met a lot of fantastic new people and started living in a new culture, in a new place which already feels almost like a second home. At the same time I want to really, really give vent to my "rebellious", independent nature and start to travel. First probably around my country, then around Europe, and then around the world. And I also want to start my business. Sounds generic? Sorry, I tried to do my best to catch your interest. :(

I think I have always had an inner hunch for travelling but I didn't have the courage to admit it to myself and to put it into practice. I hope that it's finally time to do it and I hope Couchsurfing will help me realise that goal.

Intereses

Travelling (duuuuh!), writing, programming, meditation, lucid dreaming, cooking, working out, watching niche, weird, unique, high-quality movies, listening to unique music that almost nobody understands aaaaand some more stuff that I could write about, but I don't want to make this list seem too generic. Because yes, I really am interested in the things I mentioned and I try to incorporate each of these activities into my life at least once a week.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Treat life as a game, then it will be much easier.

Do not be so serious in life. Even if you die, it is not a big deal, is it? So why bother?

Nothing in this world makes sense. Except for lack of sense.

These sentences are all mine so maybe they do not really appeal to you. Fortunately I've got one, quite well-known quote, that really resonates with me:

Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.
