About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To work so I can enjoy life

ABOUT ME

I'm a down-to-earth guy who is quite friendly and openminded. I have an ironic sense of humour which can always be seen by the big smile on my face after I say something probably outragous, though sometimes it's just plain low-brow humor. I can be somewhat boisterous and loud, which I mostly attribute to the fact that I am taking an education as Proces Operator at a large factory where all the workers are men, and many conversations are done in BIG LETTERS!! This has definately carried over into me lol. I love discussions and conversations about the big issues of today's world, as well as history, religion and many other things.
All in all, I try to be pleasant to everyone, but sometimes I step over people's toes because of talking before thinking.

PHILOSOPHY

I live a free life and so should everybody else
Also, an Ayn Rand inspired Terry Goodkind quote:
"the only sovereign you may allow yourself is reason...
Faith and feelings are the darkness to reason's light"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A four nights stay in Amsterdam, two days at two different hosts, it was great and I will most definately couchsurf again!

Interests

I like reading, but not as much as I did when I was younger. My main genre is fantasy and I have many books and can talk for hours about different authors, series, settings and other stuff. Classical reading (Shakespeare, Dumass, etc..) is something I have yet to enjoy.
I love music in its many forms, and I play the guitar myself. Not very technical as of yet, but I can manage to play many classics, as well as some homemade songs. TThe funny thing is that the songs I write are somekind of pop/country inspired, but the music I hear the most is heavy or death metal, as well as hard rock. On the other hand I also enjoy many pop songs as well as classical (Four Season ftw.)

Music, Movies, and Books

music: any kind, I can appreciate many different genres
Books: fantasy or scifi: Otherland, The Kingkiller Chronicles, The First Law trilogy, The Night Angel trilogy, A Song of Ice and Fire, Wheel of Time, Terry Pratchett, The War of the Spider Queen (Forgotten Realms 6-book series) The Black Magician trilogy and the Immortals trilogy by Trudi Cannavan. And many others.

As for movies, I prefer those with some action and drama

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Roskilde Festival 2009, wathcing 60.000 people laying down to a Slipknot track, that was pretty intense.
in 2007 I was on a cruise on a boat which could hold 12 passangers with my mother, in the sea of Turkey out of Marmaris, it was a very very beautiful trip and I have never experienced anything like it

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to show someone how to play basic guitar
