About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discover and explore people, places, food... experience what I can and appreciate it as much as it deserves to be appreciated

ABOUT ME

I am a college student currently studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain - I'm originally from the state of Maryland, in the United States. I'm new to traveling alone, but hope to 'suck the marrow' out of my experience! I love being active - whether it's sports, or hiking and backpacking and camping, or discovering new places. I'm reserved but easily excited, sometimes shy, but often really energetic and I love learning new things! I am very excited to have the chance to travel across Europe and meet new people, and I want to experience it to the fullest!

PHILOSOPHY

Breaking out of the shell, living actively

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm very new to the CS experience, so my participation has been limited to sharing the site with friends and family and convincing them that it's not crazy to want to meet people from all over the world!

Interests

Soccer/Futbol
Politics - debating, learning
Books - Asimov, Tolkein, Mystery and Science Fiction
Video Games - Pokemon, Strategy
TV - Star Trek (TNG!), The Wire
Exploring new places and cultures, meeting new people and new ideas. Experiencing the natural and man-made beauty of cities and countrysides of Europe. Learning about the rich history of small towns and large cities!

Music, Movies & Books

The Flaming Lips are my favorite musical group. I enjoy experiencing / learning about all kinds of music but will go to the ends of the earth to hear the Flaming Lips!! I also like something from every type of music: classical, jazz, rock, african, rap, .. there's a lot to love!

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Seen Castellers in Barcelona - the closest I can come to describing it is human people stacking. The entire community holds up people stacked 5 or 6 high, and little girls climb to the top of the 'stack!'

Teach, Learn, Share

How to cook tofu
My love of sports
My languages
Bad jokes
