¡Hola Couchsurfers!
Me llamo Adrián y soy de Mallorca, aunque me crié en Galicia. A lo largo de los años he tenido la suerte de vivir en Inglaterra, Escocia, Francia, México y en varias ciudades de España, y cada lugar me ha dejado aprendizajes, amigos y mil recuerdos.

Viajar es una de mis grandes pasiones, especialmente por Latinoamérica. Me encanta su cultura, la buena vibra de sus gentes y el ritmo que se vive allí... El verano pasado estuve en Honduras colaborando con escuelas, y fue una experiencia que me marcó muchísimo. ¡Estoy deseando volver a explorar más rincones del continente!

Me encanta bailar salsa, descubrir nuevas culturas, el arte, la gastronomía y compartir buenos momentos con la gente. Creo que las mejores experiencias siempre se viven en compañía.

Trabajo como profesor de secundaria en el área de Tecnología, y la verdad es que disfruto mucho enseñando y aprendiendo de mis alumnos cada día.

My name is Adrián and I'm from Mallorca, although I grew up in Galicia. Over the years, I've been lucky enough to live in England, Scotland, France, Mexico, and several cities across Spain. Each place has given me valuable lessons, great friends, and unforgettable memories.

Traveling is one of my biggest passions, especially throughout Latin America. I love the culture, the good vibes of the people, and the energy of everyday life there. Last summer, I spent some time in Honduras volunteering in schools, and it was a truly meaningful experience. I can't wait to explore more places in the region!

I love dancing salsa, discovering new cultures, enjoying art and food, and spending quality time with others. I believe the best experiences are always the ones we share.

I work as a secondary school teacher in the field of Technology, and honestly, I really enjoy teaching and learning from my students every day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Actualmente vivo en Santiago de Compostela, y mi intención es ofrecer un lugar donde quedarse a quienes lo necesiten —especialmente a personas viajeras curiosas, respetuosas y con ganas de conectar—. Ya sea compartiendo consejos locales, ayudando con cosas prácticas o simplemente teniendo una buena charla con un café o una comida, estaré encantado de echar una mano.

Para mí, Couchsurfing es mucho más que un lugar donde dormir: es una forma de tender puentes entre personas, y me encantaría formar parte de eso siempre que pueda.

Music, Movies, and Books

Me encanta la música que se baila con el alma, así que la salsa ocupa un lugar muy especial en mi vida. No solo disfruto bailarla —¡aunque nunca se deja de aprender!—, también me gusta escucharla, dejarme llevar por su energía y compartirla con otros.

En cuanto a libros, me atraen especialmente los que invitan a mirar la vida desde otros ángulos. Las enseñanzas de Don Juan de Carlos Castaneda, Crónica del pájaro que da cuerda al mundo de Murakami y Crimen y castigo de Dostoievski me han hecho reflexionar sobre la mente, la culpa, el tiempo y la identidad. Últimamente, también estoy redescubriendo la Biblia, que más allá de lo espiritual, me está ayudando a vivir con más sentido, con propósito y con una idea más clara del amor.

En el cine, me gustan las historias que conmueven. La Pasión de Cristo me impactó profundamente, tanto por su fuerza visual como por lo que representa para mí en lo personal. Y Little Miss Sunshine es una de esas pelis que te hace reír, emocionarte y creer que, a pesar del caos, la vida vale la pena cuando se vive en compañía.
// I love music that’s meant to be danced to with your soul — that’s why salsa holds a special place in my life. I enjoy dancing it (though there’s always more to learn!) and also just listening to it, letting the rhythm take over, and sharing that energy with others.

When it comes to books, I’m drawn to those that challenge the way we see life. The Teachings of Don Juan by Carlos Castaneda, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami, and Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky have all made me reflect deeply on the mind, guilt, time, and identity. Lately, I’ve also been rediscovering the Bible — beyond its spiritual side, it’s helping me live with more purpose, with intention, and with a clearer understanding of love.

In terms of movies, I’m moved by stories that go deep. The Passion of the Christ had a strong emotional impact on me, both visually and spiritually. And Little Miss Sunshine is one of those films that makes you laugh, feel, and believe that even in the middle of chaos, life is worth living — especially when it’s shared.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

He tenido la suerte de vivir algunas experiencias que me marcaron profundamente. Una de ellas fue adentrarme en un templo hindú en una ciudad remota de la India, donde no había ni rastro de otros extranjeros y todo me parecía sagrado, misterioso y vivo. También me colé, casi sin querer, cerca de las Torres del Silencio en Mumbai, un lugar sagrado para la comunidad parsi, que me dejó con más preguntas que respuestas.

Pero sin duda, una de las vivencias más transformadoras fue participar en un ritual con hikuri en México. Fue un momento de conexión profunda, conmigo mismo, con la naturaleza y con algo que va más allá de las palabras. Me cambió la forma de mirar el mundo, y desde entonces intento vivir con más conciencia, gratitud y respeto por lo que no siempre se ve, pero se siente.
// I’ve been lucky enough to live some truly unforgettable experiences. One of them was entering a Hindu temple in a remote city in India, where there were no other foreigners in sight — everything felt sacred, mysterious, and intensely alive. I also found myself, almost by accident, near the Towers of Silence in Mumbai, a sacred site for the Parsi community that left me with more questions than answers.

But without a doubt, one of the most life-changing experiences I’ve had was taking part in a hikuri ritual in Mexico. It was a moment of deep connection — with myself, with nature, and with something beyond words. It completely shifted the way I see the world, and since then, I try to live with more awareness, gratitude, and respect for the things we can’t always see, but can definitely feel.

Teach, Learn, Share

Me encanta compartir lo que sé y aprender de quienes se cruzan en mi camino. Como profesor de secundaria en el área de Tecnología, tengo experiencia en conectar con las personas, especialmente los jóvenes, también me encanta compartir sobre la cultura española, especialmente la gallega. Siempre estoy dispuesto a enseñar salsa a quienes quieran aprender, y si me encuentro con alguien que sabe bailar otro estilo, ¡estoy listo para probarlo! También disfruto cocinando y compartiendo platos tradicionales, así que si te atreves, podemos preparar algo juntos.

Me interesa aprender sobre las costumbres, tradiciones y perspectivas de las personas de diferentes partes del mundo. Me fascinan las tradiciones, rituales y formas de vivir de otros lugares, así que si tienes algo interesante que compartir en ese sentido, ¡estaré encantado de escuchar y aprender! Además, me gusta descubrir nuevas formas de ver el mundo y la vida, ya sea a través de una conversación profunda, un libro o una experiencia compartida.

Para mí, compartir es más que solo intercambiar cosas materiales. Se trata de intercambiar momentos, historias, conocimientos y sobre todo, buen tiempo. Creo que las mejores experiencias siempre vienen de las conexiones genuinas con los demás.

I’m interested in learning about the customs, traditions, and perspectives of people from different parts of the world. Additionally, I love discovering new ways to view the world and life, whether through a deep conversation, a book, or a shared experience.
