ABOUT ME

Originally from Boston, MA, I am currently studying Double Bass Performance at the Hochschule der Künste in Bern, CH. I am a very open person, and absolutely love meeting new people! I'm so happy be living in Europe, and see it as a wonderful opportunity to explore new horizons and make new connections. I believe travel is an essential means of finding personal enrichment and creates a better sense of understanding and empathy for other people.

Aside from playing bass, I love bicycle touring! Almost every summer for the past few years, I've done at least one big trip, either in Europe or North America. I hope that pattern continues! I think bicycle touring is an incredible way to meet people and the best way to get to know a new country.

I also enjoy doing various kinds of folk dancing, particularly Cotswald Morris dancing. I originally started dancing with the Toronto f Morris Men, and now also dance with the Canadian/American team Maple Morris.

I am also an avid beer drinker. My favorite genre of beer is the North American Pale Ale style, which I now miss in Switzerland, but I also enjoy the new world of tastes that Europe has to offer.

The view of the mountains from the Kornhausbrücke in Bern on a clear day still takes my breath away every time, even after seeing it almost everyday for a year!
