Music, Movies, and Books

I'm quite open, but off the top of my head my favorites are:

Movies: The Godfather, Edward Scissorhands, Before Night Falls, Pulp Fiction, Rocky.

Books: The Sound and the Fury, Lolita, Stardust, Pride and Prejudice, The Sword of Truth Saga, The Sandman: The Dream Hunters, His Dark Materials Trilogy, and pretty much most SciFi/Fantasy novels (emphasis on fantasy).

Music: I could no sooner pick a favorite star in the heavens.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's not an unusual place to visit, but there was something breathtaking about Omaha Beach in Normandy, France. Standing in a sea of white marble headstones so meticulously and respectfully laid, I was overwhelmed with sadness, gratitude, beauty, and a deeper understanding of honor. Each headstone of the unknown soldiers read: "Here rests in honored glory a comrade in arms known but to God." I'm quite sure than I was never so quiet, in all meanings of the word, as I was during my visit there.
