My name is Ad, I emigrated from the Netherlands to New Zealand 27 years ago. I came here because I could not think of a better place to live,...I still believe that. My place is a 10 acre property, 120km South of Christchurch, halfway between Geraldine and Peel Forest on the edge of the Southern Alps foot hills in South Canterbury. It's a small wooden house with a veranda, surrounded by a big garden with a sleep-out. My children have left home and wife, Catherine, sadly passed away in 2014, so it's just me in this lovely place.
