Meet some CSers.
I am an adventurer at heart. I am happiest when I am in a good setting, exploring, digging, or experiencing something new.
My education is primarily professional IT, and military engineering. I am a computer programmer, was an army engineer, school teacher, researcher for a DoD firm, and a student in the broadest sense of the word after i left college.
Do it, have fun, send a postcard home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I realized that i did CS type stuff for a while before I heard of CS. Even on small scale, when I am new at a job or a school I do much better if I take time to explore on my own, and when opportunity presents itself, do so with a likeminded individual.
I am new to CS. If I can help ye, write an email or call.
Sent some emails, gave info I could to help those who asked.
Met some nice people on the east coast. Very impressed with openness and wealth of experiences i have got to see.
Summer 2012 update.
Trip to DC/college park and Fort Lee was a lot of fun and productive. Big thank you to all my hosts. I got to meet people from different walks of life, who invited me in, and made me feel at home.
Self development, psychology, history, hiking, biking, swimming, photography, and of course - exploring!!!

Music, Movies, and Books
I did a lot of studying and reading in history. I valued primary sources, so many things I read were journals people kept, reports governments kept, a lot of military day to day stuff. It was truly an amazing mozaik of information.
Books by successful enterpreneurs and not so famous psychologists: Jack Canfield, Esther/Jerry Hicks, Roger Elliot, Swami Sachitananda, Vladimir Zhikarentsev, Tony Robbins, Wayne Dyer.
I reread a lot of highschool classics a few years back and really liked them: Fahrenheit 451, catcher in the rye, bunch of Shakespeare plays. Its funny that I did not really did not appreciate them as a kid, but loved them as an adult.
I like independent films, foreign films, documentaries. Positive good stuff.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Looking at stars by the campfire on a mountain top in central mass, where my friend and i would hike.
seeing heavy equipment transports(HET) trucks make turns in middle of the night. I got to stand right next to them and heard metal on metal sounds I did not hear before or since.
Sharp cliff dropoffs from the first time i hiked mountain Tom.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy all kinds of people. Smiling, energetic, knowledgeable in something specific, are all a big plus, and are very much appreciated.
In friends i value honesty, good will, and dependability. I value being a good friend myself.
In communications i aim to be authentic, humorous or goal oriented.
