Hello, Sailor! Here comes the friendship...
Paul and Tillie are two playful, charming and adorable puppies who need a good and loving home. Scratch that. They are two best friends who plan to travel to Europe from July to January.

Paul is a gentle kitten. A bit attention seeking, rubbing against your leg and leaving a tuft of hair there before going off and doing his own thing. Meowing for his milk when hungry but mostly self reliant.

Tillie is enthusiastic and dorky. She is very excited to run away from home to make new friends and explore landscapes.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At home:
Paul's couch has your name on it (pending his housemates' star of approval). Tillie is happy to meet up for food, fun, and tourguiding. Together we know Newcastle and some of the east coast fairly well. We could link you up with some amazing and inspiring local networks: queer, feminist, vegan, environment, community gardens, activist, artists, theater and more.

On tour:
We've lived in share-housing for 5 years and both come highly recommended. We're considerate, tidy and like to cook for our friends. Hopefully we can become a part of the communities we are welcomed into and contribute in some ways.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our first experience was staying in Denmark for 3 weeks, we met some really nice people and loved getting an inside perspective to the city of Copenhagen.

If you're able to, would you show us around your town? You could take us on walks? Introduce us to your favourite things? And finally let us hijack your social circle? Well, we'd like to get to know you and your community as much as you feel comfortable with.

On the other hand, if you're busy or unwilling, we are happy to keep to ourselves. There is no pressure to entertain us. If you stick us in a corner with a box of trinkets we will be fine. (:

Tillie likes lots of different junk. At the moment I'm digging funk music and trashy pop. I really enjoy checking out local bands. With a hint of shame, I admit that I really like TV. Usually I like to watch comedy but right now I am soaking up any documentaries I can get my mits on.

Paul is more of an indie rock kid with a closet pop princess inside. Royksopp, Mumford and Sons, Laura Marling, Deathcab for Cutie.

Tillie is into rad non-fiction and sci-fi and fantasy. Paul reads trashy queer romance novels.

Tillie has craft skills and is used to working collaboratively in collectives.

Paul has oil painting skills, knows how to speak a little Australian sign language and finished a degree in psychology. (Paul crammed all his psych exams and forgets everything so best not to bring it up).
