ABOUT ME

ALL ABOUT ME....

Well if you can reconcile the idea of a pragmatic, independent, introverted mother with an idealistic, philosophical, glass half full, extroverted father... then you get me! I have spent the last 50 years trying to refine the better parts of those diverse characteristic!
It took my mother 35 years to realize that I did truly march to the beat of a different drumer (clearly my own as I do not wish to follow anyone even though I will let other people lead). She told me she felt sorry for me because I had to walk a very thin line between how I perceived you have to survive life, and how to really live your life to the fullest!
My solution was to be honest, and give 100% of my work ethic and integrity to everything I do in love, play and work! Of course I am outgoing, openminded, playful, totally committed to my friends and family and love a great joke that makes me laugh until there are tears in my eyes. This trait I have in common with my only sister and a few friends. I can count on one hand (all 5 fingers) the friends I trust implicitly!!!
I think there is no greater thing we do than love, regardless of the risks! Raising a son has taught me more about life, myself and humanity then all the courses I have taken!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to Couch Surfing and looking forward to hosting people from all over the world and to someday travel and use couch surfing as a means to meet people and experience new cultures through surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted two wonderful young ladies from Australia for a total of 5 nights and a mother and daughter for 3 nights! I have also met several other hosts and surfers through one of the groups I belong to. It has been a very positive experience to enter the Couch Surfing World! I look forward to many more such experiences and eventually surfing a couch or two myself!

Travelling, photographing and understanding the world around me, seeing, hiking, exploring and learning about history, geograhy and other cultures. Hot destinations with a great beach and ancient ruins!
I love watching NHL Hockey and playing golf and pool!

Movies...Comedies, romantic comedies, action movies, historically accurate movies and documentaries, travel shows and documentaries on science, nature, geography, people and anything else that catches my interest, Music, I like upbeat music or music that speaks to me from rock to pop to country to instramentals to some of the new stuff that is popular today.
Books, I like Mitch Albom's views of life and Pierre Burton's Canadian history. I also like google, to research everything I need to know now!

I have raised my son on my own since he was six months old. He is now 26 and we have now started our own trucking company!
