ABOUT ME

We moved to the UK in 2008 for a working holiday but loved London so much that almost a decade (and a baby) later we're still here! Since then we haven't had space to host couch surfers, but will continue hosting when we move to a larger home.

We're an easy going couple who have travelled extensively (75+ countries each) and love exploring new places and meeting new people. Pre-parenthood we were avid travellers and enjoyed off the beaten track exploration, sailing, hiking, snowboarding and similar. At present with a young toddler we're finding a new groove and enjoying a slower pace of exploration usually centred around playgrounds, animals, parks and other outdoor spaces.

We have a mascot, Gonzo the muppet, who comes along on all our trips. He's been banana boat-ed off mountains after snowboarding accidents, almost eaten by hungry monkeys and gone 'bungy jumping' amongst other adventures.

One day we hope to have a pet gibbon.

PHILOSOPHY

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We hosted our first CSs in June 2006 and it's been a great experience ever since. We've met a bunch of really great people, including some we'll definately keep in touch with over the years. Surfed our first couch in July 2007 in Spain. Teach, learn, share - Live.

Proper coffee! Travel with kids, ailing, hiking/camping, snowboarding, photography, tropical islands, mascot travel (Gonzo the muppet), getting hopelessly lost in foreign cities, people watching, hanging out in cafes and parks!

We're 'enthusiastic amateurs' when it comes to the pursuit of specialty coffee! Keen to hear/share vegetarian/vegan food ideas with people, experiences of parenthood and traveling with kids. We also love hearing about other people's travels and favourite places in their own cities and are happy to share our experience of travel within Europe/Africa/Asia/Australia/Pacific.
