About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn how to brew better beer

ABOUT ME

I am a Mechanical Engineer back in the workforce after getting a Master's degree. I am a non-smoking vegetarian who enjoys running, reading and spending time with my dog. I love meeting new people, trying new things, and, especially, going to new places. I've been to 41 US states, Canada, and the better part of Europe (mostly western). I'm planning on greatly expanding that list in the near future.

PHILOSOPHY

Always be learning or doing something new, and be good to people along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed a few times in Europe (Paris and Milan) and have hosted once. Been inactive for awhile due to moving around a lot, but I'm ready to get back to surfing and hosting!

Interests

Running, biking, hiking - basically anything outdoors. I also love cooking and reading, and brew beer as a hobby.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all music, but especially bluegrass and indie rock. My favorite book is whatever I'm currently reading (currently re-reading The Hobbit in anticipation of the movie). My current favorite movie is The Fifth Element, but I'm a big fan of all sci-fi, and I love all the new comic book movies - it's like re-living my childhood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While driving home through the countryside late one night, I saw a moon-bow! It was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen - various shades of pale grey and white. Absolutely beautiful! Also, I think ice-climbing a glacier in Switzerland was one of the most amazing things I've ever done.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Italy, Switzerland
