I've Couchsurfed in Western Europe and have had the privilege of hosting in the States - nothing but amazing, memorable experiences every time.

Interests

Traveling, road trips, good stories, friendly debate, sports, international affairs, new cultures and languages, creative facial hair (it's an art form), economics, camping, cycling, comedy, current events.

Music, Movies, and Books

I gave up trying to keep track of music genres a while ago. A very non-comprehensive list would include reggae, classic rock, house, jazz, alternative rock, folk, blues, hip hop, R&B.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done a few amazing things and seen many more. Serving in the Peace Corps has been an incredible opportunity to see the world, myself, and the places I've been from an entirely different point-of-view. Other things I'll be thinking about on my deathbed include skydiving, working on an archaeological dig in small town Portugal, backpacking Europe from the Atlantic to Asia, and cycling in the French Alps on Tour de France stages (at 25% of the speed, 0% of the performance enhancers).

Teach, Learn, Share

We're all teachers and we're all students. My opinion is that life is best lived when you are exploring your mind, your surroundings, and your world to find an expand your mental and physical boundaries. We can't control what happens in life, but we can control what happens in the short period of time between stimulus and reaction, so it's up to each of us individually to make every day a good one.
