My name is Afrodite and I'm travelling together with my best friend Tessa. After a year of long distance contact (more on that later), we're reunited and ready for our East Coast Adventure!

A little bit about ourselves:

Afrodite: 'Hi guys, my name's Afrodite [or just Afro in short] and I'm 23 years old. I have been living in Melbourne for the last year to study Graphic Design and I recently graduated, yay! Before that, I was a Journalism student in Belgium, where I'm originally from. I also have Greek roots, hence the slightly longer name ;) During my stay in Melbourne, I became a vegan and started discovering new dishes. I've actually always been interested in food (dad was a cook) and although I might not be the best chef myself, I'm not afraid to stand behind the stove. To end my year abroad, Tessa flew in from Belgium to explore beautiful Australia together!'

Tessa: 'After Afro's introduction comes mine, here it goes... My name is Tessa, 23 years old, I came all the way from Belgium to visit my long lost friend. I just graduated from college where I studied Communications. After working for a few months, this vacation finally started. I've been living in Belgium for most of the time. I did my internship in Amsterdam which showed me that life outside of my little country was pretty cool. So I'm planning on traveling a lot. Can't wait! Oh and I love sports, I play basketball and love watching other sports. So maybe I can teach you guys some ball?'

Our trip commences in Cairns and will end (with lots of fireworks) in Sydney. We have about two weeks to make our way down and are planning to stop in Airlie Beach, 1770, Rainbow Beach, Noosa, Gold Coast and Byron Bay.

We'd love your help by sharing your homes with us and in return we can:
give you a 101 on one of the 4 languages we speak (Dutch, French, Greek, Spanish);
cook you a (vegan) Greek or Belgian meal;
teach you how to shoot some hoops;
and maybe one day even share our Belgian home with you!
