ABOUT ME

We are Rachel and Jessica, two filmmakers who just finished a bike tour of the United States. We filmed a documentary series about women who take risks and push boundaries, but continue to look forward to meeting as many fantastic human beings as possible.

We are easygoing and are excellent cooks! If you let us stay with you, we will be happy to cook you a meal-- or help you out around the house with whatever needs doing (Really, we've even gardened with our hosts!). Need a bike tune-up? Jessica has the skills.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Jessica has attended a few CouchSurfing events in Boston, but since we're on the road it's a bit harder to actively participate besides actually surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've been couchsurfing from Wisconsin to Austin Texas to Roswell, NM to San Francisco so far and have been loving every minute of it! We especially like staying with people with pets because we can't travel with any.

Interests

Bicycles, filmmaking, good beer, cooking, camping, interesting movies, great conversation, meeting new people, speaking German (Rachel, anyway), hiking, national parks, visiting new countries, small towns in America....the list goes on!

Music, Movies, and Books

Rachel likes campy horror films. We both like documentaries and interesting indie films. Rachel's favorite band is Radiohead; Jessica loves Metric. Rachel loves sci-fi novels, Jessica prefers Southern Lit and Native American literature. We both love Harry Potter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Planning this bike trip sure has been one adventure. We've biked 3,500 miles together and still enjoy each others company.
