About Me

Hi fellow travellers + potential hosts!

I'm Agnes.
People say I am a little crazy :)
I think I am quite a happy person, trying to make the best of every situation and enjoy every moment on this mad planet… always up for adventures. Always smiling. I have a lot of positive energy and enjoy meeting new people.
I live in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 but
was born in Germany 🇩🇪
I deeply care for my fellow human beings, animals and our wonderful planet so I try to live a sustainable lifestyle but I know I'm far from perfect.
I'm vegetarian because I love animals 🐮🐷🐑🐸🐙🐟 (I don't mind if you're not!)
I love spending time outside, camping, walking, running, wild swimming, watching sunrises/sunsets... ☀️🌳🌻 ✨

SURFING
To potential hosts: I am very uncomplicated and down to earth and truly grateful for what you offer me. Depending on how lightly I am travelling I can sometimes bring my own sleeping bag and towel.

HOSTING
I currently live on the west coast of Scotland and am unable to host. My family however is happy to host people and used to couchsurfers. My parents live in Dumfries and depending on whether my siblings are at home or not, you'll either have your own private room or a mattress on the floor in the living room. My family is very welcoming and has always enjoyed hosting people.

Because of commitments/work we don't always have time to show you around/spend a lot of time together. We're still very welcoming.
We also welcome people who are 'just looking for a bed'.
We understand that sometimes people/travellers are just looking for somewhere to sleep for the night without having to pay for a hotel/hostel. We had people arriving late at night and leaving early the next morning, that's fine with us as long as you follow basic house rules :)

I'm currently travelling, but feel free to get in touch as my family will be happy to host you if it suits them. Any questions, feel free to ask! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

"there are no strangers here; only friends you haven't met yet" (william butler yeats)
- describes it perfectly! I absolutely love finding friends I haven’t met yet. So many beautiful souls out there and this platform is a fantastic way to meet them.
I have had brilliant experiences so far.
The hospitality and generosity always touches my heart. What a wonderful community!
