ABOUT ME

Hey, I come from Poland that I left to study in Denmark, to work in Sweden and finally to settle down in London that I eventually abandoned couple of months ago to hang around in Iceland (my dream place) I am an architect and my plan after studies was to travel and experience architectural working environment in different countries that, must admitt, is a very interesting observation so far.

PHILOSOPHY

Hey, I come from Poland that I left to study in Denmark, to work in Sweden and finally to settle down in London that I eventually abandoned couple of months ago to hang around in Iceland (my dream place) I am an architect and my plan after studies was to travel and experience architectural working environment in different countries that, must admitt, is a very interesting observation so far.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

simply by meeting other cs members, by surfing ( I did that several times in Malmo, Sweden, but cs members became my good friends so fast that wasn't feeling like couchsurfing at all!), unfortunately not by hosting as I do not own a spare couch or even my very own place at the moment. Hoping to join hosts as well in a quite short time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined CS while working in Sweden and it saved me!:) I met great people there that I will never forget, it changed my life there that was quite lonely before ( wasn't doing much outside work) and helped me finally to feel in Sweden as at home.

Interests

I should briefly state: architecture but after eight, ten or even more hours in the office I really like to keep my thoughts busy with different stuff as: playing the piano(love it!), riding a bike, running or simply walking/hiking in some perfectly pieceful and pure place. I prefer nature to big cities but I do like to enjoy city from time to time, go dancing, having a pint or glass of wine, wandering through narrow streets. Doesn't sound bad. However after living in London I know I would never settle down in such a big and dense city any more... I would forget about traveling but I guess every cs member has it in their blood.

Music, Movies, and Books

Jane Austean's books and movies based on them:)
(so very romantic and so much fun) Touching the void (the book and the movie), Buddy (fell in love with Norwegian language after watching it), all seasons of 'Friends'(watched them thousands times and still laugh:)), Macrocosmos (nature stuff) Amelie, L'auberge Espagnole and Poupees Russes..Though I left UK becasue I couldn't really find myself there I do love British humour, I could spent hours watching BBC Entertainment..I definitely have a weakness for that.
bands: Band of Horses, I am Arrows, Golden Silvers, Two door cinema club, Kings of Convenience, Beirut and quite often movies' tracks, a lot of British music: Mumford and Sons..and some great french composer: Bruno Coulais

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think there is one thing I have done that people consider crazy, naive or call it 'following the dreams'. I will definitely share this story with one who ask for it.and recently the most extraordinary thing I have done was collecting the sheeps in Westfjords of Iceland, a lot of running, screeming, in rain, fog and wind, through the hills, generally lots of fun.
