About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm generally based in New York, but I'm hopping around a bit at the moment. I'm in Austin, Texas for the next 5 weeks or so, and I'm really excited to check out the new city.

I'm really laid-back personality-wise. I think I'm known for being in a good mood all the time, or I hope most of the time. I love meeting new people, and am always up to do something new. This profile was longer before I accidentally deleted it - I think the original emphasized my friendliness more elaborately.

PHILOSOPHY

Still in development. Being a nice friendly guy is a priority. I try to be mindful and appreciate everything without worrying about everything. But that's more a goal.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking to explore new places and hearing about fun events going on.

Looking to organize/plan fun activities, meet up for coffee/food drinks. etc.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to a CS party in Poland when I was living in Hungary for a summer. I was pretty wowed by the idea of an international network of friendly people. That was a while ago really. I never really participaed after that, but now seems like a great time to start.

Interests

My interests are real diversified - in general, I'm interested. I go to see concerts a lot. I like cooking, cartooning, photography. I read a good amount. I like travelling. I like doing the outdoorsy bit, mostly by hiking or just going to a park. I love to ski, and I used to curl but don't really get the chance to much more. I used to play ultimate, and now I'm really starting to like disc golf but have only been a couple of times. Mostly I like picking up new hobbies.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies. I've really just gotten into film in the past year. Netflix has been a life changer. Coen Brothers movies tend to be favorites. I also love TV though I've been seeing less of it lately

Music. Seeing shows might be my favorite thing to do. I listen to music a lot. Pretty diversified style and genre-wise, I just like artists who find and develop their own sound and give me something interesting to listen to.

Books. I read a good amount. Usually whatever I'm currently reading will be my favorite book ever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm really grateful I've gotten the chance to travel a little. I've spent time in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Last summer I got to spend a month driving cross-country in the US, which was always a dream of mine and absolutely lived up to all the hyping I had done for it.
