My friends describe me as kind, caring and generous. I am also a linear-thinker and a responsible world citizen. I really enjoy travel, especially getting to know new people. My Couchsurfing experiences have been wonderful and have encouraged me to get out on the road more often. The best part of travel is not just experiencing new places, but the people who are open to sharing themselves.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have the opportunity to host too often, because I live some distance from Seattle. But I have been fortunate to host several bicyclists! That's a mode of transportation after my own heart.

I have spent several weeks visiting with CSers and I'm always really happy with the open, friendly and generous community that I discover. We share meals and the fun of cooking for each other. We share our philosophy of life. My hosts are ready to help, to give insight to their culture and share a laugh.

Interessen

I really enjoying having thoughtful conversations with others. I can learn something from everyone I meet. I also enjoy great food of all kinds, especially making and sharing. I like being active whether it's simply walking the neighborhood, biking, learning to surf, or playing racquet sports.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I grew up on 80s music, discovered live grunge music in the 90s in Seattle, and then developed a taste for music with influences such as balkan, african, cuban, jazz.
A couple of favorites: Buena Vista Social Club, the Pixies, Reverend Horton Heat, Manu Chao.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Sunrises at ruins are hard to beat. Sunsets at beaches are also hard to beat. Northern lights are beyond description. Whatever my experience, enjoying it while I'm in the moment is what's most important.
