ABOUT ME

i make theatre and performance art in chicago, il. i've been here for a few years and i'm into it!

i can honestly talk to just about anybody and i'm really good at making friends with strangers in random situations (while grocery shopping, in coffee shops, etc). but not really on airplanes. probably because i'm a little afraid of flying.

i am vegan and queer. this is a part of my life, and doesn't need to be a part of yours. i'll respect how you live your life, and hope that you would do so in return.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

both surfing and hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

formally: i've used couchsurfing in berlin and met some amazing, amazing folks and had some super rad adventures. two of the best weeks of my life.

i've also hosted a few folks when my life isn't super crazy (though now I live in a pretty small studio apartment, so meeting up is more practical).

informally: i've slept on a lot of couches. a lot. for long periods of time.

very into cooking (vegan) and bikes, naps in parks, reading, the exchange of thoughts, ideas & experiences, art (theatre first, then most everything else)

all: things that make me think.

music: most things. i know everyone says that. music that makes you want to go dancing. music that makes you want to cry. music for sunny days and sitting in parks. music for coffee shops. BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and BEYONCE.

books: i like stories that don't really go anywhere, but manage to move you. 100 years of solitude. east of eden. the elegance of the hedgehog.

movies: i probably see as many movies in a year as people see live theater. which is to say, fewer than 12. but i'm starting to learn more about film. i like super stylized stuff, like guy maddin or darren aronofsky.
