About Me

I'm AI (my Vietnamese name literally), a local ESG with a travelling passion for spanning over a decade in the tourism and hospitality industry, where I’ve honed my expertise in delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable travel experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures. For me, traveling is not only about seeing new places, but also about making friends and sharing stories. Couchsurfing gives me a chance to stay with local people, understand their way of life, and see the city through their eyes.

I also enjoy hosting travelers when I have time. It makes me happy to help visitors explore my hometown, try local food, and experience real local life. It’s a great way to connect with kind, open-minded people from all around the world.

Couchsurfing is not just about free accommodation. It’s about sharing, friendship, and beautiful travel memories. That’s why I’m here.

Music, Movies, and Books

🎵 My Favorite Music:
I love listening to pop, acoustic, and indie music. Some of my favorite singers are Ed Sheeran, Adele, and Taylor Swift. Their songs are beautiful and easy to listen to when I travel or relax. I also enjoy traditional Vietnamese music sometimes because it reminds me of home.

🎥 My Favorite Movies:
I enjoy watching romantic movies, adventure, sci-fi, horror films, and inspiring stories. Some of my favorite movies are The Pursuit of Happiness, and 3 idiots, etc.... These movies teach me about life, love, and never giving up.

📚 My Favorite Books:
I like reading books about travel, self-development, spirit and real-life stories. One of my favorite books is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, How to win friends and influence people, Journey to the East,... . It’s a beautiful story about following your dreams, believing in yourself, know more about your inner soul,.... I also enjoy reading short travel stories and learning about different cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I’ve done was showing my foreigner friends my hometown for the first time. My hometown is a small, peaceful town in the countryside. It’s not famous like big cities, but it has beautiful rice fields, small rivers, and kind, friendly people.

I took my friends to visit local markets, eat traditional food, and see how local people live every day. They tried riding a bicycle through the rice fields and even helped my family cook a simple countryside meal.

It made me so proud to share my hometown and culture with them. They told me it was one of their best travel memories, and I felt very happy because sometimes simple places and honest people can create the most beautiful moments.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
I can teach you some simple Vietnamese words and phrases, and show you how to cook easy Vietnamese dishes like spring roll, Pho, crispy Pancake,..., as well as traditional Vietnamese coffee such as Egg coffee, Salt Coffee, Coconut coffee. I can also share tips about traveling in Vietnam, where to find good food, and how to explore like a local.

Learn:
I want to learn about your culture, your favorite food, and stories from your hometown. I’m also interested in learning new languages and trying different types of food from around the world.

Share:
I would love to share travel stories, local snacks, and my favorite places in the city. If we have time, I can take you to some hidden spots that tourists usually don’t know about. And of course — I’m always happy to share a good laugh and good conversation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories about Vietnam, especially about my hometown and the places I’ve traveled to. I’m happy to cook some simple Vietnamese dishes for you if you want to try.

I can also teach you a few basic Vietnamese phrases and tell you about our local culture, food, and traditions. If you enjoy music, I’d love to share some Vietnamese songs with you too.

Most of all, I can share good conversations, a positive attitude, and hopefully some fun memories during my stay.
