Hello! My name is Maia! I’m a creative person, I enjoy collaborating wherever I am and staying active. I love good company and outdoor activities, and I’m a calm person. I’m currently traveling with a work and holiday visa, and my plan is to settle in a place to start working as soon as possible. I’m from Argentina, but I lived in Spain for several years. My profession is photography, and so far, I’ve been working in hotels in the Balearic Islands. I arrived a few days ago in Sydney and I’m looking for a place to stay for a few days. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was traveling through Latin America in 2015, and on several occasions, I used Couchsurfing. To this day, I remember the people I contacted through here, and it has been a great opportunity. During the trip, I met a group of cyclists who planned to travel from Colombia to the south of Argentina. I told them that if they passed through my city on the way back, they could stay at my house, and that’s exactly what happened a year later. One of them arrived with a very long beard and quite tired. My mother and I hosted him, and we had many nice conversations. I was happy to reconnect after so much time. On the other hand, I trust in the help we can offer each other, especially when we’re far from our home country. It’s nice to be welcomed warmly.

Music, Movies, and Books

I believe music can change anyone's mood. It seems to me like a very enjoyable way to channel the flow of energy, both by dancing and listening. I don't have a preferred genre and can listen to everything from classical music, hip hop, indie, reggae, disco, etc.
