I am 19 years old currently on a gap year between high school and college. I enjoy spending time in the outdoors, woodworking and living sustainably. I recently spent four months on a small biodynamic farm in Ecuador. From milking cows at 4:00am to summiting the glacier Antisana (18,000') this trip taught me many things. I have lived in rural Vermont my whole life and believe it has shaped who I am. I greatly value supporting local food and craft, land conservation and living a minimalist lifestyle.

Next fall I will begin schooling at Colorado College where I intend to study geography, cartography, music or anthropology.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have couch surfed many times with my mom but now that I am traveling independently I would like to have my own account. I enjoy the authentic experience of staying with a person from that area instead of a generic hotel.
