Glasgow born and bred. First 33years lived in the West End then Southside. Last five or so years East End..less than a 10 minute walk to George Square, the very centre of the city.
Recently finished at photography college. If you are staying at the flat you cannot refuse to sit for a portrait if asked!! You can check out some portraits in the photo section..Haven’t been taking many recently so need to update them soon. If I do take your portrait and you like it a professional print can be arranged!!

I’ve recently gotten a bit less laissez-faire …now impersonal requests will be ignored. I at least like my name to be mentioned in the request. It’s taken me 15 years to get to this point but i reckon it’s not too much to ask. They are pretty much all the demands i make of my surfers. On arrival you’ll be given a set of keys and you’re good to go.

CURRENT MISSION
To be more active and take my photography a bit more seriously . 2025 I’m going to spend the year weed and alcohol free. I have absolutely no problem with my surfers doing whatever they please, as long as you’re not loud and drunk in the middle of the night. ( you can be drunk but not loud, my downstairs neighbour is rather uptight about things that go bump in the night..fair enough)There’s a smoking room/balcony for those that do smoke with an amazing view of the city (we’re on the 13th floor)

More About Me..
Used to play a bit of guitar in bands..once upon a time, but have hardly played since i picked up a camera so really rather rusty of finger and also the aforementioned downstairs neighbour and his noise aversion. There are a few guitars in the flat, if you play then during the day is mostly fine.
I love to cook and if you have read any of my reviews a lot of previous surfers reckon I can throw together a fairly tasty spread. I’m always very happy to have good cooks stay and make themselves at home in the kitchen. I’m ok if you’re meat eaters but i don’t eat meat that often myself.

James Elroy,Herman Hesse, Martin Amis,Kurt Vonnegut, Burroughs, Chomsky; My favourite book to thrust into someones hand is A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy toole,a hilarious life affirming romp of a book, not demanding , just playful and laugh out loud with one of the best fictional characters of twentieth century literature…well i think so. I’ve met some that don’t concur (what’s wrong with you people!!)

Cooking, photography and a bit of guitar but less and less these days. Happy to teach if you know very little about these things, very happy to learn if you know a lot. And any other knowledge I’m happy to receive.

The flat is ideally for one surfer as it’s a couch in the living room but if you’re a couple then you can often squeeze together on the couch. If you’re travelling with your one true love i have been known to swap places and I sleep on the couch (it is very comfortable for one) and give over my double bed. More usually I’d pay a visit to my mother and stay in the family home (mother, sister and her husband) in the Southside where I have my own bedroom. Also if you’re seasoned travellers with your own sleeping mats and such then I’ll just let such folk slum it as they please. Good thick carpet, cushions from the couch, duvets and pillows from me etc.
