Hi there! My name's Aidan, I'm a 23 year old university student from Australia. In June I leave for my big trip to Ireland, Spain, Germany, Greece, and Iran. In the past I've worked as a professional writer and videographer, a podcast producer and a newspaper editor.

One thing you should know about me is that I *love* spending time in the kitchen. I'm pretty much obsessed with food and some of my favorites to cook up are fried chicken, beef ribs, burgers, cajun food and paella. About half of the time I spend while I'm travelling is eating.

I love working out, going to public art galleries, museums and lectures, and live music events. I'm also a comedian: in my spare time you can also find me doing sketch comedy, stand up comedy, and improv.

I'd say the genre I'm the most interested in is documentaries. I've made a few for the web and for the radio and it's a really rewarding experience. So I've seen heaps of feature length documentaries including heaps by Werner Herzog and Louis Theroux. I listen to funk, disco, hip hop, and electronic music.

I'd love to teach you to make Gumbo, a type of Cajun stew from Louisiana, and fried chicken. I'm very keen to learn from other food cultures so I can make more dishes when I come home, so look forward to me asking you a billion questions whenever you're in the kitchen!
