About Me
//UPDATE// I'm travelling for the next months and I will only be back in The Hague January 2026, I'll be happy to host again then.
I love discovering new cities – wandering through alleyways, exploring museums, markets, and small cafés. But I’m just as drawn to places off the typical tourist trail – whether it’s an abandoned village or a coastal town hardly anyone knows about. If you are like me up for spontaneous adventures to lesser-known destinations, filled with curiosity, a good dose of spontaneity, a sense of humor, and no fear of heading out without a perfect plan (something I'm still learning myself!), I'm sure we will get along great! Whether you love taking photos, strolling through street food markets, or simply wandering around new neighborhoods for hours – the most important is that you enjoy exploring. I'd love to be a little part of your adventure offering you a place to stay, and if you are a host yourself, maybe you can one day reciprocate the kindness :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet more kindred spirits! Whenever I’ve visited a new place, I’ve found that the most rewarding experiences came from connecting with locals. Exchanging words in each other’s language, sharing a traditional dish, or showing one another the favorite sides of our homes. Even if it’s just for a day, that kind of connection stays with you for much longer, living on in countless memories. I'd like to give back the kindness that I have encountered on my travels by hosting. Whenever you spend time with someone unfamiliar to your home, that place that has become so ordinary to you, you start appreciating again the underlying beauty of it.
Interests
Like many here, I love traveling and getting to know new people and cultures. One of my biggest passions is learning languages – I can easily spend hours deciphering grammar rules or picking up new vocabulary. Right now, I’m diving into Marathi and Swiss German!
In my free time, I enjoy taking part as an extra in film productions and acting in theater. I’ve also lived in India for a year, and whenever I get the chance, I love recreating dishes I tried there. Nothing makes me happier than finding authentic Indian street food outside of India – Pani Puri and Vada Pav are my all-time favorites.
In general, I love trying out new activities, whether it’s a salsa workshop, figure skating, or a baking class. I’m grateful that living in the Netherlands allows me to explore so many new things, and I’m always excited to share these interests (or discover new ones) with others along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m a huge fan of the Argentinian singer TINI and Taylor Swift and could talk about these two for ages. I also love listening to music in the languages I’m currently learning and trying to translate the lyrics – right now, that’s French! I’m definitely a lyrics person. Some other artists and bands I really enjoy are Anuv Jain (Gul is one of my favorite songs), Coldplay, Hollow Coves, Olivia Rodrigo, and Gracie Abrams.
When it comes to books, I’m a seasonal reader, but one of my recent highlights was Everyday Madness by Lisa Appignanesi. I also enjoy a good thriller now and then, with Gone Girl being a favorite. On my reading list this year are A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara and Vom Ende der Einsamkeit by Benedict Wells.
As for TV series, I’m currently captivated by The Handmaid’s Tale and Outlander. My all-time favorites are Anne with an E and This Is Us. Movie-wise, I love Before Sunrise, 500 Days of Summer, Notting Hill, and The Notebook – basically, anything that’s a mix of heartfelt and a bit nostalgic.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably taking a 36-hour train ride in India from Pune to Ranchi, near the Nepal border. I’ll never forget standing in the open doorway of the moving train, the warm air rushing against my cheeks and my hair flowing in the wind as the landscape rolled by. It was one of those moments that made me feel completely alive.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love for us to exchange some words in the different languages we speak!
