I love friends, family, wine, cheese, cooking, baking sourdough bread, yoga, gardening, coffee, going out for breakfast, music, animals, naps, reading, sitting in the sun, picnics etc. I'm into food security and social issues, community sustainability and community networking. I value honesty, openness, kindness, generosity, patience, passion, motivation :)

My personal philosophy in life is to always keep working on my personal philosophy.

At the moment I'm focusing on living with less and trying to make sustainable decision for my future life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to couchsurfing and have only stayed with a few couch surfers so far. However I've always had friends who have been hosting couch surfers and now that I am back in Melbourne and settled into a share house I'd like to start hosting!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had a couple of friends/friends of friends 'unofficially' couch surf on my Couch whilst I was living in Berlin, but am yet to host anyone back home in Melbourne. I actually had my first couch surfing experience recently in Istanbul and was so inspired, I thought it was high time that I got my butt into gear and officially got my couch surfing profile in working order!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books (recently read): Anna Karenina, Slaughterhouse 5, On the road, 1984, Eating Animals, Brave New World, the Consolations of Philosophy, Crimes Against Humanity. Planning to read: lights out in wonderland, anything by Dostoevsky, The Great Gatsby, some more Allain de Botton.

Music: anything and everything, but a few that spring to mind in this current moment are: Stars, Bright Eyes, Broken Social Scene, Pavement, Iron & Wine, Laura Marling, Band of Horses, Bob Dylan, Cloud Control, Frightened Rabbit, Panics, Radiohead, Sufjan Stevens.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can make some mean vegan cookies and vegan cupcakes. I can also make sourdough bread. Our house is a house of keen fermentation, so I'm sure we can spread that knowledge!
