Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See what is left of our lovely planet and meet as many open decent people as I can.
ABOUT ME
ALL about me? Have you got a few days, or years?
I have lived in Colombia South America for the last 2 decades (where couch-sharing is 100% normal as it still is in most of the poorer, more natural countries I suppose). Now newly back in Europe culture shocked, and wanting to travel around as cheaply as I can and also receive other open travellers here in beautiful Donegal.
I am a very amateur flute player, professional astrologer (anyone who keeps me for a night can have their chart done if they want) vegetarian, not into drugs or cigarettes. I love travelling off the grid, for economic reasons obviously but also because staying in hostels etc keeps you an outsider whereas sharing a house even for a night opens up that part of the world.
PHILOSOPHY
Enjoy what's left of Planet Earth.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I am in Donegal:
A spare bedroom for anyone who wants here in a lovely little seaside town where there are beautiful walks and great, live Irish music.
When I am in West Cork: Here I can host people but not if you are travelling purely for tourism as it the boat is a work in progress, 100 year old Norwegian Gaff ketch that needs a lot of restoring so I can only host people who are happy about basic conditions and who are willing to help, no skills needed, just willing energy. The boat is near Baltimore, near the ferries to the islands.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had a lot of it, all over the world before discovering your website. I was once picked up by a friendly German couple in the early 80s, late at night, in despair, in a motorway exit, they were natural couch surfers who took me and my partner home and left us back on the motorway the next day, really lovely. They cruised the exits every day to help people like us.
Interests
Music (classical and folk and anything written before 1970), walking, astrology, cooking (vegetarian) talking, listening, politics of the alternative kind, gardening, composting, wooden boat-building/restoring, alternative living/relating, languages, writing, the sea, navigation.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music as above. Films: very few as I have spent a lot of my life without electricity. Books...anything that makes me laugh.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A small poor group of people in Colombia, standing up peacefully to defend themselves and take power over their lives against unthinkable odds.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd teach astology to anyone who wants to learn and would love to share music and gardening.
