About Me

I'm biologist. I love nature since I can remember but I'm not into the animalist or vegan/vegetarian way of thinking (actually, I'm against it) but conservation and real ecology. I use to travel a lot, due to work or vacations, so you won't find me in my city most part of the year. I like to talk a lot but still not a party boy. I drink but don't use to get drunk, so... if you are into it maybe I'm not the host you need (but I don't complain anyway). I'm outdoorsy, that's the best word to describe myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If I'm home I can offer you a place to stay, from one night to some days. Unfortunately, my job requires me to spend weeks out of the city. Once or twice a year, I find time to travel, then I could ask for a couch or a bit of floor for my sleeping bag :P

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Overall, my experience has been great. Besides two times when people didn't answer few days before my trip or cancel the request once I get to their city, everything has been better than expected. People I met are people worth to be met, and I'm very grateful to have shared time with them :)

Interests

Travel, of course. And while traveling I like to practice hiking, diving, birdwatching... I love photography and really appreciate wildlife and old architecture, so, archeological sites, medieval and colonial cities, small and charming towns and every kind of pristine ecosystems are my targets. I'm on a quest to visit as much UNESCO World Heritage Sites as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

For movies and books, I like everything that gives me the chance to get into an amazing world of stories to be known, but "A song of Ice and Fire" book series is awesome! (Maybe I don't have to say this but yes, I started reading the books before "Game of Thrones" was aired! Love the TV show, though). About music... I am very selective, any genre, but with good playing and if has lyrics should be from a good composer!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This world is full of amazing places, nice people and millions of species... I can't choose only one amazing thing. Better talk about our amazing experiences drinking coffe, wine or, if we met in the central highlands of Mexico, pulque.

Teach, Learn, Share

I stated before, I love biology, so I can talk about several related topics with deep passion. I can tell you stories about the culture of my country (Mexico) and region (Baja California) and although I don't see myself as a great photographer, if you're a beginner I can give you some tips... (But if you are a keen photographer, I'd be pleased to learn). If you aren't a Spanish speaker I can gladly teach you some Spanish words or phrases.

I will learn as much as possible. One never stops learning. And I can share with you some stories, a breakfast, a lunch or a dinner, a walk... I can share my time. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my life ;)
